BURN THE MOST BODY FAT BY STRENGTH TRAINING!

Hop off the elliptical and pick up some weights...strength training has been proven to be THE MOST efficient way to lose body fat.  Use weights (such as dumbbells or machines) or simply your own body weight (squats, lunges, push ups, etc) as resistance to build lean muscle.

Muscle is your body's most potent and active tissue for burning calories and body fat. Adding 1lb of lean muscle will allow you to burn roughly an additional 50 calories a day AT REST. Also, muscle is dense and takes up only a mere 1/3 of the space of body fat. Strength training on a consistent basis, is simply the most efficient way to create a fast, fat burning metabolism.
